Bend the rules.
Are you afraid?
In a world that can – and often will – turn on those who actively stand as beacons of justice, it can be scary to be a Wesleyan or Methodist. But, as Ashely Boggan states, “you cannot identify with John Wesley without constantly seeking to ensure that all people, no matter who they are, how they identify, or where they come from, feel worthy of God’s love, have their basic physical and bodily needs met, and more.”
Bottom line: if you’re a Methodist in our current cultural climate? You’ve got to bend societal rules.
But bending the rules takes guts, it takes vile-tality. And vile-tality takes faith over fear, of the sort which Matt Rawle tells us a great deal in his aptly titled book – Faith Over Fear. But how do you stay faithful in a world hell-bent on keeping you afraid? Ashely Boggan and Matt Rawle take on fear in this online event that isn’t so much a webinar, as it is a dialogical sermon to embolden us to bend the rules, be more vile, and be Methodists.
- Hear a prophetic word for our time
- Discover ways others have moved from fear to faith
- Be emboldened to bend the rules
